Dr Himal Raj completed MD (General medicine from government medical college Coimbatore on 2011 and completed DM cardiology from government medical college Kozhikode on 2016.Dr Himal raj Performed independently around 1000 angioplasties including both elective and primary and Also performed TPI, Cath study and pericardiocentesis. Also performed independently around 5000 angiograms including CAGs and PAGs. Dr Himal Raj assisted in CTOs, Rota ablation, PPI, BMV, ASD/PDA device closure, PTA, EP Study and ablation, EVAR, TEVAR, VSD device closure, IVC stenting and Uterine artery embolization. Performed around 5000 echocardiograms, 50 TEEs and reported around 1000 TMTs. Dr Himal Raj a Completed one month of training in pediatric cardiology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin in December 2015.

• Sri. Vasu Memorial Endowment Gold medal in Microbiology for securing the highest mark in Microbiology in MBBS in 2003.
• First prize in All India Quiz competition on Diabetes at Apollo Hospitals ,Chennai in 2004. 8.3. Dr GB Award for best paper, KG Hospital , Coimbatore in 2010.
• Secured 8th rank in Kerala DM Cardiology Exam in 2013.
• First prize in ECG quiz conducted by Hearts Malabar National Cardiac Centre, Kozhikode in October 2015.
• Case presentation in Cardiology at CSI Kerala chapter- Intensive Case Review in Pushpagiri Medical College in April 2016.
• Was a part of ISCHEMIA study – International NHLBI funded RCT at Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode
